Silver impregnation method in immunohistochemical study of CPRS

The aim of the study was to study reticular fibers in various forms of chronic polypous rhinosinusitis. We studied 45 patients with chronic polyposis rhinosinusitis in 2013, who underwent surgery followed by morphological and immunohistochemical examination of the macropreparation. The study showed that in polyps of patients with "eosinophilic" polypous rhinosinusitis, there is a more pronounced edema and degradation of reticular fibers compared to "neutrophilic" polypous rhinosinusitis.
