Abstract

Tympanosclerosis (TSC) (myringosclerosis) is a persistent nonspecific inflammation of the middle ear, which is accompanied by the formation of dense conglomerates between the mucous membrane of the middle ear or eardrum. Parallel to the calcifications formed in the histological sections of tympanosclerosis plaques, there is a place for tissues with an ongoing inflammatory process, which means that the process is not completed. In addition, the layer-layering of stored tympanosclerotic plaques also shows the periodic recurrence of the process.
