Abstract

Soft tissue deficiency in atrophy of the alveolar ridge creates difficulties for performing guided bone regeneration (GBR), the success of which to a certain extent depends on the closure of the wound without tension. The study examined the effect of the method of preliminary expansion of soft tissues on the subsequent processes of bone remodeling by histological examination of biopsies after GBR with the use of osteoplastic materials of various origins.
