Аннотация
Cerebrovascular disease (CVD) is currently the second leading cause of death worldwide. Today, CVD affects about nine million people in the world. The leading role among these diseases is occupied by strokes, affecting from 5.6 to 6.6 million people annually and claiming 4.6 million lives. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the incidence of stroke ranges from 1.5 to 7.4 per thousand people. Mortality at the acute stage of all types of stroke is approximately 35%, increasing by another 12-15% by the end of the first year. In addition, huge damage is caused to the economy, taking into account the costs of treatment, medical rehabilitation, losses in the production sector. Among CVDs, chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI) is the main risk factor for stroke and the cause of a gradual increase in neurological and psychiatric disorders.
