Principles of directed bone regeneration: critical preoperative factors and success criteria

Dental implantation requires favorable anatomical conditions – a sufficient amount of bone tissue, an optimal state of blood supply to the jaw, soft tissues, etc. Currently, the shortage of bone tissue in the area of the planned implantation creates the need for additional manipulations aimed at remodeling the bone area. Currently, many methods of reconstructive surgery and osteoplastic materials are known. Despite the fact that the restoration of the volume of bone tissue of the jaws using various techniques is carried out quite actively, while a number of important issues regarding the frequency of complications and unsatisfactory results of the operation have not been resolved.
