Prevalence of chronic tonsillitis in patients with dental caries

Chronic tonsillitis, its effects on all internal organs, including cardiovascular, nervous, endocrine and other systems are widely covered in the world literature, but there is little information about the clinical course of the disease in patients with dental caries. The purpose of the review is to study the prevalence of chronic tonsillitis in patients with dental caries based on literature analysis. As the material and methods of the review, scientific publications devoted to this topic in the last 5 years were analyzed in the Google Scholar and Scopus databases. The review showed that in patients with dental caries, chronic tonsillitis is characterized by a more severe course and an increased frequency of recurrence.
