Results of audiological screening in preschool children with speech disorders

The problem of hearing loss in children is important from both a medical and social point of view. Hearing loss in a child, unlike in an adult, leads to delayed speech and mental development, deviations in the formation of intelligence and personality as a whole. The purpose of the study was to conduct a comparative analysis of hearing impairment in preschool children with speech impairments. 86 preschool children aged 3 to 5 years were examined, 46 of them with various forms of speech impairment. All patients underwent endoscopy of the ENT organs, objective methods of hearing examination: impedansometry, pure tone threshold audiometry, UAE, registration of CVEP. The results of the study showed the importance of assessing the indicators of impedance screening tests and recording CVEP for the early detection of hearing impairment in cases of damage to the auditory analyzer against the background of middle ear pathology.
